About the Role

The Direct Sales Consultant role focuses on generating and qualifying sales leads, then delivering in‑home presentations of Sunrun’s solar products and services. Consultants build genuine human connections with homeowners, helping them determine whether solar is a viable energy solution for their families. This position is ideal for those who thrive on face‑to‑face interaction and enjoy working outdoors in the field. • Develop self‑generated sales strategies, leads, and appointments • Provide industry‑leading customer experience from contact through installation • Conduct in‑home sales presentations and assess customer needs • Manage pipeline from prospect to install, following up on all leads • Accurately log outcomes using the CRM system • Meet minimum sales targets set by leadership

What You Bring

Successful consultants develop their own sales strategies, manage the entire pipeline from prospect to installation, and ensure a seamless customer experience from the first contact through system activation. They use Sunrun’s CRM tools to accurately record outcomes and consistently meet the sales targets established by leadership. Strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to travel within the local market are essential for success. Applicants must have at least one year of sales or lead‑generation experience, be 21 years of age or older, hold a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record. Proficiency with an iPad or computer and comfort with multiple software applications—including CRM systems—is required.
