About the Role
In this position you will perform structural design for new construction and restoration projects across the United States, analyzing superstructures and foundations in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry. You will use the latest digital tools, including BIM software, and complete task‑specific training. Ethical decision‑making, adherence to WSP’s Code of Conduct, and support of additional business needs are expected. • Perform structural design for new and existing buildings nationwide. • Analyze and design foundations and superstructures in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry. • Utilize BIM and other digital design tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit). • Complete assigned training and follow WSP’s Code of Conduct. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical audiences. • Maintain workplace safety and comply with health, safety, and harassment policies. • Work flexible schedules and travel occasionally as project needs dictate.

What You Bring
WSP is seeking an early‑career Structural Engineer for its Boston, MA or North Providence, RI office. The role involves joining the Structural Engineering Team to help meet client objectives and solve challenges. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for structures and architecture, strong communication skills, and teamwork abilities. Employees receive advanced training in structural and digital design technologies and can collaborate with global practice‑area networks. Qualified applicants hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Civil, or a closely related engineering discipline and have 0–1 years of post‑educational experience. Required skills include strong research and analytical abilities, familiarity with design/build processes, knowledge of construction codes and regulations, and proficiency with BIM (Revit) and Microsoft Office. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, self‑leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or within a team are essential. Preferred candidates are recent or upcoming 2026 graduates, may hold a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, and have 0–3 years of internship experience. Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation is valued. The role may require occasional travel and flexible scheduling to meet project demands. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (0‑1 years experience). • Demonstrate strong research, analytical, and self‑leadership skills with attention to detail. • Familiar with design/build processes, construction codes, and record‑keeping requirements. • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Preferred: Master’s degree, 0‑3 years internship experience, and experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.

The salary range is $58,200‑$96,030, adjusted for education, experience, location, and internal equity.
