About the Role

Drivers operate heavy‑duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear lift systems, transporting waste or recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities once legal load capacity is reached. The role includes commercial, residential, and roll‑off driving, each requiring skilled navigation of congested streets, alleys, and tight overhead spaces, as well as precise backing maneuvers. Core responsibilities involve following WM safety and DOT regulations, performing thorough vehicle inspections, documenting checks, and promptly reporting hazards or incidents. Drivers also attend required trainings, collaborate with operations managers to improve route efficiency, communicate customer requests, and ensure each dump site is left clean and free of debris. • Safely operate trucks in accordance with WM safety policies, OSHA, DOT and applicable laws. • Perform comprehensive pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and record findings on DVIR forms. • Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or service disruptions to management. • Load, transport, and unload waste or recyclable containers, leaving each site clean and debris‑free. • Follow assigned routes, complete daily paperwork, and assist fellow drivers as needed.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least one year of experience operating a vehicle that requires a CDL or equivalent military driving experience, be a minimum of 18 years old, and possess a valid CDL Class A or B with an air‑brake endorsement. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The position demands physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, and occasional sitting, while maintaining clear communication and hearing ability throughout the workday.
