Fire Systems Technician
Maintain and repair fire systems, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance for Defence assets.
Job Highlights
About the Role
• Respond to corrective maintenance work orders and unplanned fire system faults within contract response times. • Conduct root cause analysis and diagnosis using manuals, standards and asset history. • Perform rectification work, repairing or replacing faulty fire system components. • Implement make‑safe or temporary repairs and escalate major component replacements. • Verify and test corrective maintenance to ensure compliance with standards and Defence policies.

What You Bring
• Hold a Certificate III in Fire Systems Testing and Inspection. • Hold Fire Protection Accreditation (FPAA), QBCC Fire Protection Licence (QLD) or FPAS Accreditation (NSW). • Obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Australian citizenship required). • Possess post‑trade experience in fire systems fault diagnosis, corrective maintenance and repair. • Demonstrate ability to conduct root‑cause analysis, fault finding and compliance testing. • Experience responding to unplanned/reactive work orders within required response times. • Strong work ethic, positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality outcomes.
