In this role, the technician executes quality control procedures and contributes to continuous-improvement initiatives across production lines. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inspection records, reporting non-conformances, and collaborating with engineering and production staff to resolve quality issues. The position also involves supporting internal audits and participating in quality-focused training sessions. • Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with company standards. • Report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes. • Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and multimeters to verify product dimensions and performance. • Support internal audits and participate in quality training sessions. • Ensure compliance with AAON’s quality management system and applicable industry standards. • Promote a culture of quality and accountability on the production floor.

Attention to detail and a solid understanding of quality principles are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required, with technical training or coursework in quality assurance, manufacturing, or HVAC systems preferred. Candidates should possess a basic understanding of quality control principles, familiarity with HVAC mechanical and electrical components, and the ability to read blueprints and technical documents. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, effective communication, teamwork, and basic computer proficiency are also needed. The job demands consistent focus, precision, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical requirements include standing for long periods, walking between workstations, handling small tools, and occasionally lifting up to 30 lb, while maintaining visual acuity for detailed inspections. The technician works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to HVAC equipment, moderate noise, and varying temperatures, and must use personal protective equipment where required.
