Assist traffic engineering team with analysis, surveys, modeling, and signal work.

About the Role
The Traffic Engineering Co‑op will join a team of traffic engineering and transportation planning professionals, contributing to municipal signal coordination, transit operation studies, traffic modelling, impact analyses, road safety assessments, and highway planning initiatives. • Conduct traffic operations analysis and field surveys. • Perform traffic impact and development studies. • Optimize signal coordination and timing. • Lead transit operation studies. • Create microsimulation models using Vissim or Aimsun. • Analyze safety and collision data. • Process and analyze transportation data with Python, SQL, Azure, or AWS. • Produce graphics and mapping deliverables using ArcGIS. • Prepare technical writing and documentation. • Utilize traffic analysis tools such as Synchro, Vissim, Aimsun, EMME, Legion, and ArcGIS. • Apply data analytics tools (Python, SQL, cloud platforms).

What You Bring
• Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem‑solving, and communication skills. • Maintain basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
