You will play a key role in delivering reliable, sustainable energy solutions to our customers. • Service, repair, and safety inspection of domestic heating appliances • Service and repair of central heating and hot water plumbing systems • Diagnose and repair heating appliance and system faults on first visit • Upgrade and install central heating controls with smart technologies • Perform electrical safety tests on domestic heating installations • Locate, install, and verify CO alarms to current gas standards • Conduct testing with combustion gas analyzers, including room safety • Manage all aspects of central heating installation and customer safety • Generate, organise, and maintain company and regulatory documentation • Participate in wellbeing, diversity, inclusion, safety, and quality systems • Perform heating, electrical, and refrigeration installation duties as qualified • Maintain a positive, safe attitude toward work and training

What You Bring
If you have recently received your craft certificate in plumbing, refrigeration or electrical and want to take the next step, we are recruiting Gas Service Engineers. We’ll upskill you to undertake gas boiler service and repair, provide an excellent in‑home customer experience, and train you in smart technologies, heat pumps, gas, oil and other renewables. On successful completion of training you will carry out a range of home product services safely and competently, including gas appliance servicing, installations, repairs, and compliance with regulations and Bord Gáis Energy’s technical procedures. The role offers continuous upskilling and the chance to contribute to business plans and company strategy. • Hold a National craft certificate in plumbing, electrical or refrigeration (or equivalent RGII recognised learning) • Possess strong planning and organisational skills • Demonstrate aptitude for fault‑finding logic (advantageous) • Exhibit strong interpersonal and customer skills, able to work with the public and team targets • Be RGII registered with at least 5 years experience
