About the Role

The engineer will lead electrical system design, produce CAD/BIM layouts, perform calculations, and coordinate with other trades. • Represent Syska Hennessy Group and liaise with clients, contractors, architects, owners, developers, and vendors. • Manage assigned CAD/BIM and technical staff for project tasks. • Estimate construction costs and assess feasibility using Rough Order of Magnitude analysis. • Prepare engineering proposals under senior supervision. • Assume overall economic responsibility for assigned projects. • Conduct business development and networking activities. • Produce due‑diligence reports adhering to company standards. • Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects. • Lead design of large projects, generate reports and specifications, and provide technical leadership. • Develop project budgets and schedules. • Participate in QA/QC reviews of staff deliverables. • Serve as Engineer of Record, overseeing calculations, equipment selection, system design, field investigations, and construction administration. • Manage and review staff resources and performance. • Create drawings that meet client requirements and company standards. • Deliver consulting services such as gap analyses and feasibility studies. • Address errors and omissions within the discipline and pursue continuing education. • Maintain dynamic Employee Resource Groups and a competitive PTO policy. • Supply a transit/parking stipend and flexible work schedule with half‑day remote Fridays.

What You Bring

Applicants must hold a BS in Electrical Engineering, be a licensed PE, have 8‑14 years of consulting experience, and be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and relevant codes; experience with SKM software is highly preferred. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. • Be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). • Possess 8–14 years of consulting engineering experience. • Proficient in Revit and the latest AutoCAD MEP. • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of applicable codes. • Preferred experience with SKM software for short‑circuit coordination and Arc Flash studies.
