Senior Director of Disciplined Operations & Management Systems

About the Role
• Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable management systems that drive predictable performance across multiple sites. • Partner with corporate, regional, and plant stakeholders to ensure initiatives transition smoothly into base operations. • Lead and develop direct reports dedicated to audit readiness, execution, and follow-up. • Ensure consistency in leader standard work, tiered accountability, performance reviews, and problem-solving routines. • Plan and lead large, cross-site improvement initiatives, managing scope, resources, timelines, risks, and performance metrics. • Validate results through structured, repeatable review processes and data-driven metrics. • Champion the use of Georgia-Pacific’s Lean Manufacturing Systems and Playbook to routinely assess organizational health. • Translate enterprise strategy into executable plans at the corporate and site level. • Establish standard audit preparation routines, readiness reviews, and post-audit learning across all facilities. • Establish governance, escalation, and review mechanisms to ensure consistent execution and visibility of performance. • Provide functional leadership for Disciplined Operations across the corrugated organization, with Regional Manufacturing Directors reporting directly to this role. • Ensure improvements are embedded, sustained, and owned by the business. • Partner with sites to assess gaps, prioritize corrective actions, and embed sustainable controls rather than short-term fixes. • Build organizational capability by coaching leaders at all levels on structured problem solving, change leadership, and system thinking. • Communicate effectively across organizational levels to align on financial, operational, and risk mitigation priorities. • Coach Regional Manufacturing Directors and plant leaders on effective system ownership and maturity progression. • Own the Blue Diamond internal audit process for the corrugated org, ensuring sites are consistently prepared, compliant, and improving audit outcomes year over year. • Serve as the corporate subject matter leader for management systems, with deep expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and disciplined execution.

What You Bring
• Experience leading regional or enterprise operational excellence functions. • Extensive experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with progressive leadership responsibility. • Proven ability to build and lead teams, including direct and indirect reports. • Strong influencing capability with executive-level communication skills. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field. • Prior experience owning or supporting internal audit systems in a manufacturing environment. • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Excel. • Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Project Management (PMP). • Highly effective organizational and project management skills. • Able to travel 50% to 75% of the time. • Current or previous experience working within the Principle Based Management framework. • Experience in corrugated, paper, tissue, or converting manufacturing operations. • This role is expected to travel 50% to 75%. • Demonstrated success planning and executing large-scale, multi-site initiatives. • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and management system design, implementation, and sustainment.
