About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The role includes ensuring the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhering to all state and federal regulations, and completing daily vehicle condition reports to address defects promptly. Key duties include performing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, monitoring tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment and controls, and reporting any issues. The driver follows assigned route sheets, loads and compacts waste using manual or automatic controls, and disposes of material at designated facilities while maintaining high productivity standards. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Operate the collection truck safely along assigned routes, reading route sheets and servicing customers. • Load, compact, and unload waste using manual or automatic controls in accordance with safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per departmental procedures. • Monitor waste for prohibited materials and clean accidental spills following safety standards. • Keep the vehicle clean and operational by removing waste from the packer blade and truck body. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Maintain department productivity standards and adhere to all safety procedures, including the ReSOP program.

What You Bring
The position requires a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with air‑brake endorsement. Pay ranges from $21.35 to $29.37 per hour, varying by locality, and includes eligibility for the company’s bonus and benefits programs.
