About the Role
The architect will engage stakeholders and customers, providing both technical and functional expertise to create a vision and coordinate development across the domain. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and communicating high‑level design processes, standards, and implementation practices. The architect ensures solutions satisfy business needs as well as functional and non‑functional requirements, and works with the business to define technology roadmaps. Key duties involve translating business domain understanding into technical capabilities for architects and development teams, collaborating with business relationship managers to identify solution gaps, and researching market options to approve make‑vs‑buy decisions. The role documents high‑level designs, estimates effort and skill requirements, manages scope and change approvals, and conducts application scans and risk reviews for privacy, security, and compliance. Additionally, the architect works closely with Enterprise Architecture to align solutions with guardrails, standards, and patterns, and partners with external vendors to meet SBD requirements. • Engage stakeholders and provide technical & functional expertise across domain solutions. • Define and maintain high‑level design processes, standards, and implementation practices. • Translate business requirements into technical capabilities and guide development teams. • Conduct market research and evaluate make‑vs‑buy decisions for solutions. • Document solution designs, estimate effort, and manage scope and change approvals. • Perform application scans and risk reviews to ensure privacy, security, and compliance. • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to align solutions with EA guardrails, standards, and patterns. • Work with external partners to ensure solution requirements are met.

The position requires an undergraduate degree with 8‑10 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 6‑8 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have a broad understanding of application technologies and platforms within the overall environment. • Required: 6‑8 years (with graduate degree) or 8‑10 years (with undergraduate degree) of relevant experience. • Proficiency in Blue Yonder/JDA, Java, .NET, SQL, version control (SVN), integration, cloud (SaaS/IaaS/PaaS), SOA, big data analytics, and web/mobile technologies.
