About the Role
The role requires safe work on energized and de‑energized overhead lines, performing construction, maintenance, and repair tasks, installing various electrical components, troubleshooting systems, and ensuring proper grounding and voltage identification. • String overhead wire and set poles/anchors. • Phase out lines using phasing sticks and obtain a one‑shot on reclosers. • Conduct pre‑job or tailgate briefings. • Perform reconductoring and safely install mechanical jumpers. • Hook up single‑phase transformers and operate load‑buster tools. • Inspect rubber goods and personal protective equipment (PPE). • Follow grounding procedures and work safely at heights or in confined spaces.

What You Bring
The Class B Lineman – Overhead is a semi‑skilled role focused on the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical overhead distribution systems. The position works at various locations and may require travel to other states depending on customer demands. Candidates must have at least five years of recent field experience, be able to read and communicate in English, obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days, lift more than 50 lb, travel long distances on short notice, work overtime, and possess the physical stamina to work at heights or in confined spaces. • Demonstrate self‑motivation, teamwork, and customer focus.
