About the Role

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent II who will coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within a specific discipline area. The role also focuses on developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. • Plan and implement material, equipment, and inspection schedules to support the project timeline. • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability. • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies. • Develop and manage project schedules, including three- and six‑week look‑ahead schedules. • Create a site logistics plan and oversee utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment. • Collaborate with project partner superintendents. • Conduct on‑site orientations, pre‑construction planning sessions, and site meetings. • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; handle hiring, transfers, and terminations of craft team members. • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project staff. • Ensure proper task coding of work hours, track progress, and monitor craft productivity. • Manage craft team training and career development discussions. • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Lead by example, provide coaching, feedback, and manage performance. • Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance for the project and team. • Identify and mitigate unfavorable working conditions; improve processes and procedures.

Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from $130,100 to $195,200, with higher ranges in Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
