About the Role
The engineer will apply deep mechanical design expertise to power generation facilities from feasibility through detailed design and construction support. They will also lead project teams, coordinate with piping designers, and ensure quality control throughout construction, start‑up, and commissioning phases. • Design mechanical engineering solutions for assigned power generation projects. • Lead engineering teams of any size and manage deliverable development. • Coordinate with mechanical piping designers to complete engineering drawings. • Collaborate across disciplines on equipment arrangements, P&IDs, isometrics, asset and tie‑in lists, and orthographic drawings. • Provide technical expertise for risk assessments, due diligence, and complex client solutions. • Generate mechanical deliverables for all project phases, from feasibility to detailed design. • Develop construction and equipment specifications and material requisitions. • Support projects from the home office during construction, start‑up, and commissioning. • Conduct quality control reviews of work produced by others. • Participate in project and client meetings and present technical information. • Interact with vendors, regulatory agencies, and contractors. • Assist with internal and external presentations. • Travel occasionally to client or project sites as needed.

What You Bring
• Hold a BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 6 years of relevant experience. • Possess experience in mechanical engineering for power generation facilities. • Prefer a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. • Have 12+ years of experience with power generation facilities and 5+ years as a technical mechanical lead. • Demonstrate expertise in designing combined‑cycle plants and nuclear generation stations. • Be familiar with industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, PIP, ANSI, and ASTM. • Specify mechanical equipment and piping material specifications, with knowledge of diverse metallurgy.
