About the Role
The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance Team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and other equipment, and managing work orders with detailed labor and parts tracking. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians and fostering positive relationships across the operation. • Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures. • Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment and document activities. • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, etc. • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, parts used, and inventory. • Mentor junior technicians to develop their skills. • Maintain positive working relationships across the operations facility. • Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance for at least 2 years. • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Microsoft Office suite efficiently.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems, and two years conducting predictive and preventive maintenance. Additional requirements include one year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading, knowledge of electrical/electronic principles, experience with a CMMS, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Preferred qualifications are an associate degree in a mechanical or electrical field, familiarity with MHE safety standards, and experience with robotic operation and basic I/O troubleshooting. The position demands physical ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lb, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Technicians routinely move between departments and cover 6–12 miles per day, working in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and spending 1–2 hours daily on computer tasks. Flexible scheduling and shift work are required. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of MHE repair experience. • Read blueprints and electrical schematics with 1+ year of experience. • Preferred: associate degree in mechanical/electrical field and experience with robotic operation. • Physical ability to lift 50 lb, reach overhead, climb ladders, and work in PPE‑required environments.
