About the Role

The Engineer – Emissions Compliance Reporting is responsible for developing and executing emission and combustion tests, supporting measurement technology projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role acts as a liaison between local teams and the corporate headquarters in Friedrichshafen, Germany, to deliver project results. Key duties include planning and evaluating measurement technology and after‑treatment system development, assisting with noise and vibration measurements, and providing regular project and resource management reports to senior management. The engineer also maintains a safe work environment, promotes a compliance culture, and may lead special projects as needed. • Perform emission and combustion measurement tests. • Coordinate emission project activities with German and local departments. • Build and maintain cross‑functional networks to support project delivery. • Monitor emerging emission legislation and attend regulatory meetings. • Lead communication and collaboration with engineering teams and customers. • Plan, implement, and evaluate measurement technology projects. • Support noise and vibration assessments alongside experts in Friedrichshafen. • Develop and assess after‑treatment system activities, sharing data with headquarters. • Generate regular reports on project plans, improvements, and resource usage. • Ensure a clean, safe workplace and uphold Rolls‑Royce Code of Conduct. • Execute special projects as assigned.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering and have at least five years (or nine years alternatively) of experience in emission measurement technology and internal combustion engine testing. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of emission and after‑treatment principles, strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency with PC and MS Office, and willingness to travel internationally. • Possess a bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field and 5+ years (or 9 years) emission measurement experience. • Travel domestically and internationally as required. • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation abilities. • Proficient with PC, MS Office, and AVL emission equipment; German language skills a plus.

The position is based in Graniteville, SC, with a salary range of $70,629‑$114,772 plus a discretionary bonus.
