About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee the full project lifecycle—from inception and design through procurement, construction and commissioning—providing client‑side project management, governance and risk oversight. They will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects meet client expectations for quality, cost and schedule. • Lead delivery of multi‑disciplinary complex projects within collaborative teams • Mentor and support Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices • Establish and maintain governance frameworks with clear roles and accountabilities • Provide client‑side project management covering stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule and contract • Ensure projects are delivered to client satisfaction on quality, cost and time • Allocate appropriate resources to meet client and business requirements • Actively manage subcontractors and remote resources • Develop strong relationships with clients and cross‑functional team members • Support business development with existing and new clients • Manage submission of project management bids

What You Bring
Candidates should have at least six years of consulting‑side project management experience, preferably in water, and be familiar with NEC contracts (PSC/ECC) and their accreditation. Strong communication, stakeholder‑relationship skills, a collaborative mindset, and a relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., APM PMQ, PRINCE2) are essential. • Infrastructure project management experience (water industry desirable) • Experience with NEC contracts, especially PSC and ECC; preferably NEC ECC accredited • Proven ability to work in integrated, multi‑organisation collaborative teams • Excellent communication and organisational abilities • Highly motivated with an extensive industry network • Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skills • Ability to work autonomously while coordinating with senior managers • Experience within a client organisation or via co‑location/secondment • Advanced IT proficiency and use of digital project tools • Strong numeracy, verbal and written communication skills • Experience preparing bid submissions • Effective client relationship management both internally and externally • Prior team and line‑management leadership experience • Minimum six years consulting experience delivering full‑spectrum PM services • Relevant degree (project management, engineering, environmental science, construction) or equivalent experience • Demonstrated NEC3/NEC4 contract management expertise • Project management qualification (APM PMQ or PRINCE2) desirable • Membership of a chartered professional body (APM, CIOB, ICE, RICS) desirable • Ability to pass required security screening checks
