About the Role
• Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network continuity. • Operate testing equipment and resolve common fiber optic challenges. • Prepare fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning, etc.). • Use fusion splicer and test devices (OTDR, 1310/1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, power meter). • Apply fiber design knowledge, read documentation, and assess light levels and dB loss. • Maintain safety standards on outdoor utility construction sites.
