About the Role
• Remain employed for 12 months after obtaining the CDL. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections to verify tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, and controls. • Safely operate a commercial truck along assigned routes, following route sheets and dispatcher instructions. • Operate manual/automatic controls to lift, load, compact, and dispose of waste at designated facilities. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers per departmental procedures. • Continuously monitor waste for unacceptable material and report safety issues. • Keep assigned vehicle operationally ready, cleaning packer blade and truck body each trip. • After CDL acquisition, serve as a Driver in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll‑Off lines of business.

What You Bring
Successful completion of the CDL training program requires passing the state examination and remaining with Republic Services for twelve consecutive months after licensure. Trainees will also learn to conduct thorough pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections, adhere to safety policies, and operate heavy trucks safely along designated routes. • Complete Republic Services’ CDL training program, including classroom study, on‑route training, and hands‑on driving experience. • Pass the state CDL examination using company‑provided resources and a loaned truck. • Must be eligible to obtain a commercial driver’s license (no prohibitions).
