About the Role
The Cleanroom Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the integrity of pharmaceutical production environments by cleaning and sanitizing GMP‑controlled laboratories where medications are produced. The role requires strict adherence to contamination control protocols, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and the consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Working the night shift from 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM, the technician performs routine and periodic sanitization of cleanroom labs, controlled areas, and support spaces. Duties include floor and surface cleaning, vacuuming with cleanroom‑rated equipment, tack‑mat maintenance, and ceiling, wall, and vent sanitization using approved tools, all while following established SOPs and documentation practices. • Perform routine and periodic sanitization of cleanroom laboratories, controlled areas, and support spaces. • Sanitize floors using cleanroom‑rated equipment and approved disinfectants. • Clean surfaces (doors, frames, partitions, glass) with isopropyl alcohol. • Vacuum using cleanroom‑rated vacuums and replace/clean tack‑mats. • Sanitize ceilings, walls, and vents with approved cleanroom tools. • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all cleaning activities. • Complete electronic cleaning logs daily and review for compliance. • Rotate and apply disinfectants according to established schedules. • Maintain organized inventory of sanitization supplies, gowning articles, and disinfectants. • Coordinate cleaning schedules with Manufacturing, Quality, and GMP Operations teams. • Participate in training on disinfectant use, cleanroom equipment, and safety procedures. • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines and wear full cleanroom PPE at all times. • Report facility or equipment issues (e.g., clogged drains, damaged flooring, lighting defects) promptly to supervisors. • Support waste removal and receptacle sanitization in GMP areas. • Perform corrective cleaning to address microbial contamination excursions as directed. • Work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one year of experience in a biopharmaceutical GMP environment, preferably in cleanroom sanitization. Essential attributes include strong attention to detail, reliable attendance, the ability to work both independently and on a team, and the physical capability to lift 50 + pounds and remain fully gowned for extended periods. • Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent. • Possess at least 1 year of experience in a biopharmaceutical GMP‑controlled environment, preferably cleanroom sanitization. • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise work instructions. • Lift and move 50 + pounds frequently and work fully gowned in cleanroom PPE for extended periods.
