About the Role
In this position you will be involved in all design phases—conceptual, preliminary, and final—ensuring that roadway projects meet technical and regulatory requirements. You will also support project management functions, including schedule, budget, and progress monitoring across multiple tasks. • Produce roadway and transportation designs for new and rehabilitation projects. • Lead client meetings, support proposals, and coordinate with regulatory agencies. • Manage project schedules, budgets, and progress across concurrent tasks. • Contribute to local marketing efforts and professional society participation. • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimate submissions in compliance with agency requirements.

What You Bring
The Transportation business line seeks a Civil Engineer with Highway Design experience for its Piscataway or Bloomfield, NJ office. This hybrid role requires three days per week on‑site and focuses on preparing construction documents for transportation projects while adhering to NJTA and NJDOT design standards. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, have at least six years of relevant experience, and possess an active NJDOT Professional Engineer (PE) license. Preferred expertise includes familiarity with NJTA/NJDOT standards and proficiency in MicroStation V8i, Bentley OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. • Hold a B.S. in Civil Engineering with at least six years of relevant experience. • Possess an active NJDOT Professional Engineer (PE) license. • Demonstrate proficiency with NJTA/NJDOT design standards, MicroStation V8i, Bentley OpenRoads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
