About the Role

What You Bring
AECOM is hiring an experienced Project Director for its Doha, Qatar office. The role will lead high‑profile, large‑scale projects from inception through completion, providing strategic direction and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Candidates must have a proven track record of delivering complex, large‑scale projects, at least 20 years of progressive project management experience, and a minimum of five years in senior leadership. Required credentials include a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and PMP or equivalent certification, along with strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex, large-scale projects in a corporate environment • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent • Minimum of 20 years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse, multidisciplinary teams • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels • Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in budget management and resource allocation • Proven ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk management and mitigation • Experience working in a global or multicultural environment is highly desirable • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira) • Adaptability and resilience in managing complex, dynamic project environments
