About the Role

In this senior position you will manage a regional team, develop business plans, pursue opportunities, and shape organizational structures and processes. As a privately‑owned, management‑focused company, key leaders are offered ownership opportunities that drive performance and recognition. • Build staff and coordinate execution of Market Focus activities in the region. • Generate new revenue and expand existing revenue streams. • Develop and deepen relationships with architects, PM/CM firms, and general contractors. • Track leads, forecast project pipeline, and create winning strategies and teams. • Stay informed on regional and national market trends to keep the team technically current. • Facilitate information sharing across the national team for staffing and pursuits. • Ensure technical excellence of project delivery and resolve complex issues. • Develop and align the regional practice area business plan with the national market plan. • Coordinate goals with national team members to execute business plans. • Create strategies to penetrate new clients for higher‑margin work. • Oversee project financials and interoffice/client reporting structures. • Articulate the firm’s value proposition to differentiate in the market. • Lead or support integrated services sales presentations. • Guide teams and partners to deliver exceptional projects. • Write articles, white papers, and present at industry conferences and events. • Recruit senior staff with market‑specific experience and lead newly hired direct reports. • Apply technical expertise, self‑motivation, relationship‑building, and strong communication in a fast‑paced environment.

What You Bring

• Demonstrate leadership aligning client efforts with business strategies and revenue goals. • Recognized as an expert in the specific market focus. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). • 15+ years of relevant market design experience. • Minimum 7 years of management experience. • 7+ years of business development experience in engineering or construction. • Thorough knowledge of MEP systems. • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. • Flexible to travel within the East Coast and occasional international travel. • Effective team player with the ability to work independently. • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
