About the Role
The engineer is responsible for fault finding, routine maintenance, and repairs on MTU rail products, adhering to approved manuals and contract specifications while embracing digitalisation throughout the workflow. The engineer will support 24/7 operations, including shift work and on‑call duties, and will maintain cleanliness of onsite facilities while contributing to the company’s HSQE management processes. • Perform preventative, scheduled, and corrective maintenance per schedule, manuals, and contracts. • Conduct planned maintenance tasks following operating instructions. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements. • Attend customer meetings to obtain sign‑off for completed work. • Diagnose faults and execute repairs using technical drawings and guides. • Complete and submit accurate documentation for all service activities. • Engage in HSQE processes and maintain site cleanliness. • Attend local and factory training to keep skills current. • Provide 24/7 on‑call support, including shift work and callouts. • Operate as a mobile engineer with company van when required. • Accurately report parts usage to maintain stock control. • Utilise IT systems such as Go!Care, C4S, eWeb, Go!Manage, Go, Diasys, Outlook effectively.
