About the Role

As a Systems Technical Lead you will act as a subject‑matter expert for Cordant Solutions™, guiding project engineering and services through technical reviews of system and network designs, integration, OT cybersecurity, explosive‑atmosphere and functional‑safety designs, and commissioning quality for machinery protection and condition‑monitoring hardware and software in OT environments, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and standards requirements. The role also supports the NPI team, assists pre‑sales with non‑standard technical requests, mentors engineers, and drives continuous improvement in design, processes and cost reduction, including delivering product training as needed. • Evaluate and review project designs, architecture drawings, BoMs, and configurations for alignment with product capabilities, standards, and customer requirements. • Review pre‑commissioned CMS software configurations from the field services team. • Support field service engineers with site issues not attributable to products and mentor project and service engineers. • Assist the NPI team with Alpha and Beta testing of hardware and software. • Provide technical support to pre‑sales for non‑standard requests such as explosive‑atmosphere installations, OT cybersecurity, third‑party integration, maritime applications, and regulatory compliance. • Drive continuous improvement in design, processes and cost reduction, and conduct internal product training.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical, electronics or instrumentation engineering. • Minimum 10 years experience with Bently Nevada or similar OEM environments, including hands‑on project engineering, field commissioning, industrial networking, system integration and OT cybersecurity. • CompEx/IECEx certification for hazardous‑area applications or equivalent credentials. • Strong knowledge of Bently Nevada products and in‑depth understanding of API 670 standard. • Solid foundation in computer networking, OT cybersecurity principles and experience with IEC 60079‑14, IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards. • Working knowledge of IEC general safety standards (61010, 61439, 62406, 61000‑6‑X) and technical regulations processes. • Expertise in OT protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC) and APIs, network segmentation, firewall configuration and secure remote access. • Hands‑on experience with OT/ICS security tools, backup systems and familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF and NERC CIP.
