About the Role
The Foreman for Bergelectric Corp. monitors installations and ensures work complies with company standards and project specifications. The role collaborates with general contractors or customers to manage the project schedule, employees, productivity, safety, quality control, labor costs, and material procurement. This position is classified as safety‑sensitive. Key responsibilities include assigning tasks to crew members, maintaining accurate labor logs, and establishing project goals. The Foreman handles purchase orders, adheres to change‑order and notice‑to‑proceed policies, utilizes prefabrication facilities, and ensures all necessary safety equipment, tools, and materials are on site. Additional duties involve notifying Superintendents of crew changes, proactively resolving issues, enforcing shift times and break schedules, conducting performance evaluations, maintaining as‑built documentation, communicating with owners, architects, contractors, and crew, and upholding compliance with NEC, local codes, and Bergelectric safety policies while fostering teamwork and crew morale. • Assign tasks and maintain accurate labor tracking for crew members. • Set and monitor project goals to achieve productivity targets. • Process purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of materials. • Follow change‑order and notice‑to‑proceed procedures. • Provide necessary safety equipment, tools, and materials on site. • Notify Superintendents in advance of any crew changes. • Proactively anticipate and resolve potential project issues. • Enforce shift start/end times and compliance with break regulations. • Conduct performance evaluations and support crew morale. • Produce complete as‑built documentation per company standards. • Ensure work meets NEC, federal, state, local codes, and contract requirements. • Enforce Bergelectric safety policies and promote teamwork.

What You Bring
Qualifications require two to four years of field experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a current journeyman wireman license where applicable. Candidates must demonstrate ability to order and track materials, produce cost projections, develop accurate as‑builts, and possess strong knowledge of scheduling, material lead times, electrical codes, and installation methods. Experience with power systems—including lighting, fire protection, security, data networks—and control panel installation, as well as proficiency with single‑line blueprints and fault identification, is essential. The role demands physical tasks such as lifting and pulling 50 lb loads, climbing ladders, pulling wire and conduit, and working in a 25 lb tool belt while squatting, stooping, or kneeling. Employees must stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and operate from ladders, man lifts, or reach booms. Work is performed in varied weather conditions and high‑noise environments. • Possess 2–4 years journeyman electrician experience with a valid license. • Demonstrate ability to order, track materials and create cost projections. • Have strong knowledge of electrical codes, scheduling, and installation methods. • Experience with power systems (lighting, fire protection, security, data) and control panel installation. • Proficient in reading and using electrical single‑line blueprints and fault diagnosis.
