About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Security Services, the Principal Security Specialist leads high‑performing teams to enhance detection, correlation, and analysis of internal and external threats to Constellation’s people, assets, and reputation. The role supports multiple business units—including Human Resources, Cyber Insider Threat, Legal, Ethics Investigations, and Nuclear—while implementing innovative solutions such as AI technologies. Coordination with key stakeholders and delivery of workplace‑violence training are essential to safeguarding the company’s interests. The position also serves as a subject‑matter expert for the Ethics Office on Code of Business Conduct and Workplace Violence investigations. The specialist acts as the subject‑matter expert for investigations, managing the full cycle from complaint intake to final findings and case reporting, and identifying trends or risks to recommend mitigation strategies. Collaboration with Ethics, Human Resources, Insider Threat, and business leadership provides risk‑mitigation guidance and supports the development of corporate security strategy, policy, technology, and processes. Additional responsibilities include delivering training on Workplace Violence Prevention and Street Awareness, providing security oversight for events, executive protection, business continuity exercises, and crisis management, and leading risk assessments of critical infrastructure and facilities. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements such as FERC, NERC, Maritime Security, DOT, CFATS, and Nuclear regulations, maintains firearms qualification, and sustains liaison networks with local, state, and federal law‑enforcement partners. • Lead high‑performing security teams to detect, correlate and analyze internal and external threats. • Oversee security support for HR, Cyber Insider Threat, Legal, Ethics Investigations, Nuclear and other business units. • Implement innovative solutions, including AI technologies, to improve threat detection and analysis. • Conduct full‑cycle investigations from complaint intake to findings and reporting. • Identify investigation trends and develop risk‑mitigation recommendations. • Partner with Ethics, HR, Insider Threat and business leaders to provide risk‑mitigation guidance. • Develop and execute security strategies, policies, technologies and processes across corporate and business units. • Deliver training on Workplace Violence Prevention, Street Awareness and other security topics. • Provide security oversight for events, executive protection, business continuity exercises and crisis management. • Lead risk assessments of critical infrastructure, offices and support facilities and implement security measures. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FERC, NERC, Maritime Security, DOT, CFATS and Nuclear regulations. • Maintain firearms qualification and liaison relationships with local, state and federal law‑enforcement agencies.

What You Bring
Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS in criminal justice, political science or a related field, 10‑15 years of corporate security experience, and 10‑12 years of law‑enforcement or private‑investigator background in a medium‑to‑large organization. Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication, investigative, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills, as well as 24/7 availability, travel flexibility, and the ability to obtain concealed‑carry permits, LEOSA qualifications, and a Secret clearance. Preferred credentials are an advanced degree (MBA, JD, or master’s), certifications such as CPP, PSP, CFE, or CTM, expertise in insider‑threat investigations, and proficiency with AI technology. • Hold a BA/BS in criminal justice, political science or related field with 10‑15 years of corporate security experience. • Possess 10‑12 years of law‑enforcement or private‑investigator experience in medium‑to‑large organizations. • Demonstrate strong written/oral communication, investigative, problem‑solving and time‑management skills. • Available 24/7, able to travel domestically and internationally, and obtain concealed‑carry, LEOSA and Secret clearance. • Preferred: advanced degree (MBA, JD, or master’s) and certifications (CPP, PSP, CFE, CTM). • Preferred: expertise in insider‑threat investigations and proficiency with AI technology.
