About the Role

The Project Cost Analyst role is based onsite in Columbus, Ohio, and supports the cost control and financial performance of large, multi‑year EPC energy infrastructure projects, from early execution through closeout. The analyst works closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Engineering, and Construction teams to provide accurate cost visibility and enable proactive financial decision‑making. This position is essential for maintaining budget discipline across transmission, substation, renewable, and utility construction work. • Track, analyze, and control costs for EPC energy and utility infrastructure projects. • Maintain budget vs. actuals, forecasts, and cost trends across multi‑year projects. • Develop and update Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC). • Monitor cost deviations and risks, escalating issues to project leadership. • Support change management, including change orders and budget transfers. • Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations Directors, and technical teams to align financial performance. • Prepare cost reports, dashboards, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure adherence to Project Controls Execution Plans and company standards. • Utilize JDE, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI for cost tracking and reporting. • Serve as a trusted cost resource and drive continuous improvement in cost control practices. • Translate complex cost data into clear, actionable insights.

What You Bring

Ideal candidates have experience in project‑based job costing, forecasting, and change management within construction, utilities, or EPC environments. They must be comfortable analyzing budget versus actuals, developing estimates to complete, and identifying cost risks early. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to translate complex cost data into actionable insights are critical for success. • Apply 4+ years of experience in project cost control within EPC, construction, utilities, or energy projects. • Demonstrate hands‑on expertise in cost forecasting, budget control, and change management. • Perform advanced Excel analysis and work with JDE/EcoSys; Procore preferred. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent. • Travel up to 10% domestically as needed.
