About the Role
The role involves interpreting blueprints, specifications, and job orders; establishing work sequences; estimating labor needs; maintaining time records; and making cost estimates, all while ensuring safety regulations are followed and performance is managed through coaching and feedback. • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures • Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and assigned craft workers • Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders • Enforce safety regulations and interpret company policies to workers • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule using equipment and personnel capacities • Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker‑hour requirements • Analyze and resolve work problems • Maintain time records • Make cost estimates for contracts • Use logical step‑by‑step procedures in work • Make decisions based on measurable information • Operate machinery as needed • Lead team members by example, provide coaching, feedback, and manage performance • Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling General Foreman who will plan, organize, and direct foremen and craft team members to meet project schedules while complying with state and federal requirements. Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, have at least five years of related experience, demonstrate strong teamwork, customer service, detail orientation, and effective communication skills, and be capable of performing repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance for heavier loads. • High school diploma or GED • Minimum five years related experience • Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures • Ability to determine work method from alternatives, work under broad assignments, active listening, effective communication, and openness to diverse input and feedback • Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lb (over 50 lb with assistance or equipment)
