About the Role
Key responsibilities include executing PPM according to set schedules, maintaining engineering standards, and adhering to Health and Safety at Work Act requirements. You will ensure quality‑assurance procedures such as water legionella management are followed, respond promptly to reactive issues and help‑desk requests, and coordinate actions with the client and specialist subcontractors. The role also involves call‑outs, breakdowns, installations, repairs, replacements and assisting other trades as needed. Additional duties involve attending monthly site meetings, providing reports on work and equipment, and undertaking miscellaneous tasks requested by the client. You will proactively seek opportunities to grow the contract into other service provisions such as mechanical and plumbing replacements, project work, and FM soft services. All staff must fulfill their legal duty to care for health and safety, following the company's policy and key performance measures aligned with the annual IPMP. This ensures a safe environment for yourself and others affected by your work. • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and plumbing services per schedule. • Respond promptly to reactive maintenance calls, breakdowns and emergencies. • Coordinate with clients and specialist subcontractors for service requests and PPM tasks. • Conduct repairs, replacements and installations of plumbing and mechanical systems. • Attend monthly site meetings and produce required work and equipment reports. • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, including legionella control and IPMP targets.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate shows confidence and commitment to high‑quality service, possesses good PC, written and verbal communication skills, and can work unsupervised while prioritising tasks. Adaptability, effective problem‑solving, teamwork, calmness under pressure, reliability, attention to detail, results orientation and acceptable personal grooming standards are essential, as is the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. Essential experience includes working with large commercial site plumbing systems and a wide variety of plumbing and mechanical equipment. Desirable experience covers basic mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and supervisory experience for future development. Required qualifications are City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 and a valid driving licence; desirable qualifications include unvented & water regulations training, health and safety L8 training, and GCSE (or O‑Level) passes in maths and English. • Demonstrate strong communication, problem‑solving and teamwork skills. • Possess experience with large commercial site plumbing systems and a City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 qualification. • Hold a valid driving licence and basic knowledge of HVAC or mechanical systems (preferred).
