About the Role

The engineer will conduct electrical power studies for wind and solar projects at development through operation stages, including ampacity, short‑circuit, reactive power, grounding, arc‑flash, and system impact analyses. They will create models using software such as ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E, produce clear technical reports, specify equipment ratings, and coordinate with interconnection, substation, and energy storage engineers. Ownership of deliverables, QA/QC of study packages, and management of multiple concurrent studies are also required. • Conduct wind and solar electrical power studies (ampacity, short‑circuit, reactive power, grounding, arc‑flash, system impact). • Build project models using ETAP, ASPEN, CYMCAP, SKM, WinIGS, and PSS/E. • Produce clear, well‑organized technical reports and specify equipment ratings. • Coordinate with interconnection, substation, solar, wind, and energy storage engineers. • Own deliverables, ensure QA/QC, and manage multiple studies/projects simultaneously. • Apply power flow software expertise (ETAP, SKM, ASPEN) in utility or consulting settings. • Leverage additional tools such as PSSE, PSLF, PSCAD, and EMTP when needed. • Maintain flexibility to anticipate company needs and proactively assist team members.
