About the Role

The position involves regional travel, walking on uneven job sites, and providing personal transportation for meetings and site visits, all of which are reimbursed. The manager must be available on‑call and responsive 24/7 to support data‑center operations. • Develop and maintain vendor relationships while fostering positive client relationships. • Create facility capacity plans and manage monthly financial cycle activities. • Assess and report on power, space, and cooling usage. • Optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System and implement necessary changes. • Provide mechanical and electrical infrastructure support to server, SAN, networking, computer operations, and security teams. • Oversee day-to-day data center operations and resolve facility-related technical issues. • Coordinate work with other departments as required. • Establish, communicate, and meet performance standards for team members. • Interview, orient, and train new facility engineers. • Review, document, and deliver regular individual performance feedback. • Maintain ongoing facility engineer training, certification programs, and professional development. • Support the Critical Environments Team. • Implement tactical and long-term facility strategies and business procedures. • Manage facilities per client agreements, preserve assets, and achieve budgeted financial results. • Collaborate with other departments to execute agreements and optimize opportunities. • Establish and maintain operational standards and utility conservation programs. • Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and facility operating procedures.

What You Bring

The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in business, facilities management, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, and bring at least six years of experience in critical‑environment facility management. Required competencies include leadership of technical teams, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life‑safety monitoring systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
