About the Role
You will regularly interface with other departments, provide technical guidance, and supervise junior modeling staff. Acting as an advisor to senior management, you will develop training material, manage the Common Data Environment, and collaborate with the Roads Digital Design & Delivery Lead and engineering teams to produce compliant engineering drawings and BIM models. You will oversee the BIM modeling process from project start‑up to completion, conduct clash detection, generate scheduling and quantity extraction, and ensure all drawings meet QA/QC standards. • Coordinate with engineering, production, and management teams to deliver highway design models. • Supervise and mentor junior BIM modelers, offering technical guidance. • Develop engineering drawings, layouts, and BIM models adhering to company standards. • Manage the Common Data Environment (ProjectWise/BIM360) and ensure model compliance. • Conduct clash detection using Navisworks and generate clash reports. • Produce scheduling and quantity take‑offs directly from BIM models. • Review drawings for quality, readability, and adherence to QA/QC processes. • Create parametric and non‑parametric families and understand LOD requirements.

What You Bring
Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented BIM/CAD Specialist – Highway to join our Dubai, UAE team. The role involves performing drafting assignments for highway design packages and supporting related design activities. The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with at least 8–10 years of relevant experience. You must possess strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Dynamo, and BIM workflows, including ProjectWise/BIM360 and LOD requirements, and be proficient in creating parametric and non‑parametric families. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and solid engineering and advanced modeling principles are essential. Additional expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, and Navisworks is preferred. Experience supervising BIM modelers and analysts will be advantageous. • Maintain strong communication in English, both verbal and written. • Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering with 8–10 years of relevant experience. • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Dynamo, and BIM workflows. • Preferable experience with OpenRoads, MicroStation, and Navisworks. • Ability to supervise BIM modelers and analysts within the team.
