About the Role
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for assigned buildings, covering low/medium voltage power, HVAC systems and controls, lighting, and other facility subsystems. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and vendor management, and the role may require on‑call after‑hours support. Typical daily tasks involve general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture, as well as special tasks like painting, locksmith work, and handling tenant service requests. The mechanic also maintains and replaces lighting bulbs and ballasts, cleans HVAC coils, changes filters and belts, assists the operations team with equipment repairs, performs minor plumbing repairs, moves furniture and equipment, and conducts facility inspections. • Provide electrical and mechanical support for low/medium voltage power, HVAC, lighting, and other facility systems. • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response for building equipment. • Conduct general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture. • Execute special tasks including painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and minor plumbing repairs. • Replace lighting bulbs/ballasts, clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts, and perform carpentry tasks. • Move office furniture, machinery, and equipment as needed and perform facility inspections.

What You Bring
The position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working overhead. Physical demands include lifting a minimum of 80 lb, using ladders up to 30 ft, and climbing ladders with a 300‑lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag of approximately 20 lb. Minimum qualifications are one year of experience in general building repair and maintenance with basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical skills. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent and completion of a relevant technical training program. This position does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. • Meet physical demands: lift 80 lb, use ladders up to 30 ft, and work overhead with tools. • Minimum one year of building repair, maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical experience. • High school diploma or GED; technical training program completion preferred.
