About the Role

Under the guidance of a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B repairs and maintains diesel and non‑diesel equipment, including chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. Basic tire work such as replacement and rotation is also performed. The role offers the advantage of working on a single, state‑of‑the‑art fleet while supporting drivers on their routes. Key duties include preventative and corrective maintenance on vehicle systems, line welding and fabrication, and providing safe road service when needed. Technicians identify malfunctions using electronic diagnostic tools, complete required company training, and may be assigned additional tasks as necessary. This work requires moderate proficiency across a range of components and the ability to operate both on‑site and on the road. • Tackle new challenges daily • Maintain and repair complex machinery • Serve the community and customers • Perform chassis, engine, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and brake repairs • Conduct line welding, fabrication, and road service • Diagnose malfunctions with electronic tools

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least one year of relevant experience or be graduating from an accredited automotive program within three months, with knowledge of gasoline and diesel equipment. A basic understanding of work‑order labor standards, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to inspect heavy‑truck systems with limited supervision are required. ASE certifications and a commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not mandatory. • Work a stable, regular shift
