About the Role

You will work alongside Design Directors and project teams through concept, schematic, design development, construction documents, and production phases. Complex design challenges will be addressed with innovative, practical solutions while you coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies. Producing graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings will be a core part of your daily work. You will also help manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination. • Collaborate with Design Directors and project teams from concept through production. • Resolve complex design issues with innovative, practical solutions. • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and detailed construction drawings. • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies. • Assist in managing client expectations and internal team communication. • Contribute to office initiatives, learning programs, and collaborative activities.

What You Bring

As a Gensler Technical Designer you will blend creativity with technical expertise to deliver functionally beautiful spaces. A bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required, along with 0‑5 years of related experience and an interest in sports, data center, or advanced manufacturing projects. Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software is essential, as is a basic understanding of building codes and accessibility requirements. You must be able to juggle multiple concurrent projects, communicate design ideas quickly, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship‑management skills are also required. The position is in‑person and based in Austin, Texas, but non‑local candidates are welcome to apply and may relocate. Applicants should submit a current portfolio or work samples in PDF format.
