About the Role
The Driver/Operator safely operates a heavy‑duty truck on transfer routes, performing assigned duties such as transporting containers and ensuring clean, safe vehicle operation. The role follows OSHA, DOT, and company guidelines, includes pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, and requires coordination with Operations Managers and Dispatch. • Operate vehicle according to OSHA, DOT, and company standards while maintaining a clean, safe truck. • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using DVIR and report any issues for corrective action. • Report unsafe situations, service calls, incidents, accidents, and property damage to Operations Manager or Dispatch immediately. • Participate in all required training, briefings, and meetings. • Collaborate with Operations Managers to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts. • Perform scheduled duties, assist other drivers as directed, and follow assigned route plans. • Dump containers, leave sites clean, position containers properly, and complete customer tickets for excess yardage. • Submit all required documentation and check‑in at the end of each route.
