About the Role

Key duties include completing monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, preparing journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations, and analyzing financial information to recommend internal‑control improvements. The analyst will support system implementations, conduct ad‑hoc projects, partner with management on value‑added reporting, and provide ongoing accounting support to plant operations. Additional responsibilities involve variance analysis, cost‑standard review, ERP master‑file maintenance and mentoring peers. • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process under direction of Accounting Manager • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations • Compile, enter and analyze financial information • Analyze key processes and recommend internal control improvements • Assist with design, testing and integration of two system implementations • Perform ad hoc projects and analyses under the direction of Accounting Manager • Partner with management to prepare value‑added analysis and reports • Keep Accounting Manager apprised of potential concerns and statuses • Synthesize month‑to‑date and year‑to‑date variance explanations for all plants • Respond to ongoing requests from plants for accounting and financial information and support • Analyze manufacturing cost standards and review variances with management for root cause • Apply accounting theory and professional judgment to maintain accurate records and reports • Train and mentor peers • Support ERP master file maintenance activities

What You Bring

The Accounting Analyst will handle financial period closings, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations and various business analyses. The role demands a self‑starter with strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently. Effective communication, flexibility, technical literacy and occasional travel are also essential. Candidates must hold a four‑year degree in accounting and possess at least three years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Professional credentials such as CPA, CMA or MBA are preferred. Required skills include advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of SAP (and ideally LIMS), strong initiative, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication. • 4‑year degree in accounting • 3+ years accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing • CPA, CMA, MBA preferred • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) • Current knowledge of SAP and LIMS highly preferred • Strong initiative and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Attention to detail and accuracy • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure • Ability to purchase company stock
