About the Role

The Mechanical Assembler prepares bulk container handling equipment through mechanical and simple electrical assemblies, using Arrowhead Conveyor machine drawings, assembly drawings, control schematics, and bills of materials. Major responsibilities include building machines according to drawings, problem‑solving, reducing non‑value‑added work, and performing structural, mechanical drive, fluid control, guard/cover, and simple electrical assemblies using hand tools, while ensuring quality workmanship and completing quality assurance checks against Arrowhead Conveyor Blue Books. The assembler documents labor, material issues, returns, moves and scrap, follows Kanban inventory re‑ordering policies, and prepares equipment for shipment, including machine teardown. • Build and assemble bulk container handling equipment using machine drawings, schematics, and bills of materials. • Perform structural, mechanical drive, fluid control, guard/cover, and simple electrical assemblies using hand tools. • Identify and eliminate non‑value‑added work throughout the organization. • Conduct quality assurance checks per Arrowhead Conveyor Blue Books. • Document labor, material issues, returns, moves, and scrap; implement Kanban inventory re‑ordering. • Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown. • Read and interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedural manuals. • Write routine reports, correspondence, and deliver effective group presentations. • Perform basic engineering calculations, algebra, and geometry.

What You Bring

Required education is a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience), with the ability to read technical documents, write routine reports, speak effectively, perform basic calculations, apply algebra and geometry, follow written or diagram instructions, solve problems with multiple variables, and use basic PC applications. • Use basic PC applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
