About the Role

The Maintenance Technician for multifamily properties supports resident satisfaction by ensuring quality move‑ins, timely service, and personal attention. This position is responsible for delivering superior customer service and maintaining the overall condition of apartments and common areas. Key responsibilities include preparing make‑ready units, responding promptly to resident requests, and performing a variety of maintenance tasks such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal. The technician also maintains grounds, pools, hot tubs, and dog‑park amenities, participates in on‑call rotations for after‑hours emergencies, and reports any maintenance concerns to the supervisor. Work is performed in a professional office setting with regular use of computers, phones, and office equipment, and involves travel between properties in varying weather conditions. Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, climbing stairs or ladders, lifting up to 100 lb, and occasional outdoor work covering up to 10 % travel time. • Prepare make‑ready apartments (painting, carpet repair, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping) for quality move‑ins. • Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally. • Perform maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal as needed. • Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog‑park amenities in clean, safe condition. • Participate in on‑call rotations to address after‑hours emergencies. • Report maintenance concerns in vacant units, model units, and common areas to the supervisor. • Follow state, local, and federal fair‑housing laws and company safety procedures. • Attend required training and adhere to uniform and professional appearance standards. • Achieve high productivity through reliable, punctual attendance and timely reporting of tardiness. • Provide service using standard office equipment and travel between properties as needed.

What You Bring

The role requires a valid driver’s license, EPA 608 Type II certification (or local equivalent), and the ability to read manuals, compute rates, follow written or diagrammed instructions, and produce routine reports.
