About the Role
The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for an environmental planning practice in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. Activities include business development, managing relationships with key clients, supporting and leading environmental planning projects, and mentoring planning team members. Markets are driven by relationships rather than geography, and leadership responsibilities involve operating with integrity, providing practice vision, business planning, establishing goals, building client relationships, open communication with partners and staff, and growing the practice. • Lead business development and nurture key client relationships. • Oversee and deliver environmental planning projects in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. • Mentor and manage planning team members. • Set practice vision, develop business strategy, and establish goals. • Maintain integrity and open communication with partners and staff. • Write proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and have 15+ years managing environmental projects in Southern California. They should possess strong client contacts with local municipalities, counties, regional and state agencies, and have business development experience including proposal, scope, and budget preparation. Expertise in CEQA/NEPA, the ability to cross‑sell multiple disciplines, and proven staff leadership and mentoring are required. The base salary ranges from $150,000 to $260,000 and includes eligibility for performance‑based bonuses. • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. • Possess 15+ years of environmental project management experience in Southern California. • Have established contacts with municipal, county, regional, and state agencies. • Demonstrate strong expertise in CEQA and NEPA processes. • Ability to cross‑sell multiple engineering disciplines.
