About the Role

The position involves overseeing HV and LV systems in line with legislation, Australian Standards and company policies, while developing switching programs, issuing access permits and supervising related operations. It also drives planning‑led maintenance and manages backlog control. Additional responsibilities include improving asset reliability through fault analysis and continuous improvement, maintaining competency frameworks for authorized personnel, and leading safety performance, risk management and incident investigations. Collaboration with automation, operations, engineering teams and external contractors is essential, as is providing on‑call support for the terminal. • Lead and oversee all high‑ and low‑voltage electrical systems compliant with legislation, Australian Standards and DP World policies. • Develop and execute HV switching programs, issue HV access permits and supervise HV operations. • Drive planning‑led electrical maintenance and manage backlog control. • Improve asset reliability via fault analysis, performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintain HV/LV competency frameworks and ensure authorized personnel are trained and compliant. • Lead safety performance, risk management, incident investigation and statutory compliance. • Collaborate with automation, operations, engineering teams and external contractors. • Provide on‑call support for the 24/7 terminal operation.

DP World is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead the safe, compliant and reliable operation of all high- and low-voltage electrical systems at the Fisherman Island Container Terminal. This senior technical role provides electrical leadership across maintenance, safety, compliance and asset performance in a 24/7 heavy‑industry environment. Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Engineering degree or a high‑level trade qualification, with at least five years of heavy‑industry maintenance experience, strong HV/LV knowledge and a background in regulatory compliance. Experience with industrial automation (Siemens TIA Portal, Sinamics, ABB 800 series), proven leadership, safety focus, CMMS proficiency, budget and project management, and eligibility for an MSIC are required. • Electrical Engineering degree or high‑level electrical trade qualification. • Minimum five years’ experience in heavy‑industry maintenance environments. • Strong HV/LV electrical knowledge and regulatory compliance experience. • Experience with industrial automation and drives (Siemens TIA Portal, Sinamics, ABB 800 series). • Proven leadership capability with strong safety focus. • Proficient in CMMS, maintenance budgeting and project management. • Hold or be eligible for an MSIC. • Exposure to state‑of‑the‑art automation technologies.
