About the Role

• Operate and maintain HVAC, security, life safety, plumbing, and electrical systems across three downtown Vancouver buildings. • Respond promptly to tenant and property management service requests. • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision. • Program, schedule, and manage building automation, security, and life‑safety computer systems. • Lift, carry equipment and tools; work outdoors and in hazardous conditions using protective gear. • Coordinate with building trades and service suppliers; provide support across multiple locations. • Participate in periodic weekend work and rotating on‑call duties. • React swiftly to crisis situations and meet assigned deadlines independently.

What You Bring

JLL is seeking an experienced Building Operator for a prestigious national account in downtown Vancouver. Integrated within our downtown Property Management Team, the role supports operations across three adjacent commercial buildings. This full‑time position works Monday through Friday. The Building Operator ensures safe and efficient operation of building systems—including HVAC, electrical, and life‑safety equipment—while managing auxiliary systems and contributing to special projects. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency in building maintenance with strong communication and customer‑service skills, and shares our commitment to sustainable practices and energy conservation. • Hold a valid BC 5th (Refrigeration Operator) or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate. • Possess at least 3 years of commercial building operations experience.
