About the Role

As a Warehouse Operator at Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries in Birmingham, AL, you will support shipping and warehouse operations by safely handling steel tube and pipe, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining efficient material flow. The role involves preparing materials for distribution, picking, packing, and staging orders with scanning tools, loading shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers, and receiving and inspecting incoming materials. You will also operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, replenish stock, rotate inventory, and follow standardized shipping and receiving procedures while maintaining regular onsite attendance. • Enforce safe work practices and comply with regulatory requirements • Prepare, pick, pack, and stage orders using scanning tools • Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers • Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials, reporting discrepancies • Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks efficiently • Replenish stock and rotate inventory to maintain material flow • Apply basic math skills for accurate order processing

What You Bring

The ideal candidate has warehouse or manufacturing experience—preferably with steel or tubing—or an equivalent mix of education and experience, and a high school diploma or technical training. Strong basic math, communication, and problem‑solving skills are essential, along with the ability to safely operate material‑handling equipment. Physical capabilities include lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods in a noisy environment with moving equipment. • Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams
