About the Role
The role focuses on testing and commissioning AIS/GIS panels, medium voltage switchgear, and a range of Schneider, ABB, and GE relays. The engineer will ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards, uphold safety and 5S practices, and manage customer inspections to guarantee satisfaction. Working in shifts, the candidate will coordinate daily output meetings and drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency and quality. Collaboration is key, requiring close interaction with project management, engineering, planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and commissioning teams. The position also involves developing and maintaining quality control systems and applying communication protocols such as IEC61850, MODBUS, and GOOSE, as well as PLC, SCADA, and RTU knowledge. • Perform routine testing of AIS/GIS panels and MV switchgear according to IS/IEC standards. • Maintain safety standards and 5S practices on the shop floor and FAT area. • Manage customer inspections, ensure satisfaction, and lead short‑interval daily meetings. • Analyze MQD data and customer complaints using A3, 8D, and why‑why methodologies. • Plan and allocate resources to meet management targets and improve testing efficiency. • Develop and uphold testing quality control systems for product quality assurance. • Collaborate with project management, engineering, planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and commissioning teams. • Apply IEC61850, MODBUS, GOOSE communications, and work with PLC, SCADA, and RTU systems. • Interpret protection and control panel schematics and implement testing strategies for control and relay panels. • Test various logic modes (auto, independent, manual) and sensors (arc, thermal) and configure PLC/HMI.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a BE or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least seven years of experience, preferably as a test engineer with expertise in connected products and diverse testing techniques.
