About the Role

You will work a stable Monday‑Friday schedule on the 3rd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm with occasional weekends, based in our San Leandro, CA repair shop. Each day you’ll service trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers, using modern tools to maintain diesel and, at some sites, CNG trucks. • Perform journeyman‑level tractor‑trailer/truck repairs. • Diagnose, repair and rebuild hydraulic, cylinder, hose, electrical, and air control systems. • Apply in‑depth diagnostic knowledge. • Conduct transmission repairs. • Execute frame work repairs. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on various vehicles. • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts. • Respond to emergency breakdown service calls. • Perform safety checks on all vehicles. • Document parts usage and repair times on required paperwork. • Review and assign repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. • Maintain a clean, safe work area complying with Corporate and OSHA standards. • Solve problems with determination.

What You Bring

The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing, with exposure to cuts, burns, chemicals, dirt, noise, and weather extremes, both indoors and outdoors. Candidates must have a REAL ID or TSA‑approved alternative for any required air travel or access to federal property. • Provide Cummins engine expertise (preferred). • Complete work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs). • Possess at least 4 years of relevant mechanical experience. • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record. • Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S. • Pass pre‑employment drug screening and physical examination. • Work independently as well as part of a team.
