About the Role
The Maintenance Team Leader oversees a team of technicians to deliver preventive and corrective maintenance for assigned facilities, ensuring all work complies with internal and external environmental, health, safety and fire protection requirements. • Lead, coach and assign work to a team of technicians, monitoring progress and performance. • Ensure maintenance activities follow established processes, operating procedures and contractual requirements. • Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical building systems. • Conduct regular facility walkthroughs, equipment inspections and system monitoring to identify deficiencies. • Manage work orders in the service management database, initiating approvals for required work. • Coordinate implementation of the preventive maintenance program and document any identified issues. • Participate in facility‑related projects and ensure proper tool maintenance, repair and replacement. • Provide training, safety meetings, toolbox talks and other operational support to the team. • Respond to routine and on‑demand service requests, including emergency callouts. • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of fire, life safety and building codes, applying them as required.

What You Bring
The position requires flexibility to work shifts, be on‑call for emergencies and wear personal protective equipment as needed. • Possess 7–10 years of facility operations and maintenance experience, with 3–5 years in a leadership role. • Hold a high school diploma plus relevant trade training and certification. • Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills for building mechanical and electrical equipment. • Exhibit a strong client‑service orientation, urgency, and effective communication abilities. • Hold one or more of the following licences: Journeyman Refrigeration, Journeyman Electrical, Journeyman Plumbing, or Power Engineering 4th Class.
