About the Role
The Mechanical Fitter will develop manufacturing technology and realize new products and systems. The role involves setting up, monitoring, and operating equipment required for assembly and testing of subsea equipment, and, when authorized, repairing Baker Hughes subsea products and ancillary equipment according to company and client procedures. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for supporting assembly and testing of subsea equipment to ensure quality and health, safety, and environmental compliance. You will assemble components from specifications and drawings, set up and test finished assemblies, record defects in the quality management system, exercise Stop Work Authority when required, and engage in site safety initiatives such as pressure safety and lifting councils. • Support assembly and testing of subsea equipment to ensure quality and HSE compliance. • Assemble subsea equipment and components from specifications and drawings. • Set up finished assemblies/products and test them according to routing and engineering procedures. • Record defects and errors in the Quality Management System per company procedures. • Exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary to protect employee safety. • Participate in site safety initiatives, such as pressure safety and lifting councils.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will be time‑served Mechanical Apprentices with an engineering qualification, possess experience in mechanical assembly—ideally with subsea products—and be able to read and interpret engineering documentation. They must also have solid knowledge of HSE requirements and consistently follow safety policies and procedures. • Time‑served Mechanical Apprentice with an engineering qualification. • Experience in mechanical assembly, preferably with subsea products. • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering documentation. • Good knowledge of HSE requirements and adherence to safety policies.
