About the Role

The Electrical Apprentice at Silent‑Aire Limited Partnership supports the Production Supervisor by installing and terminating conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control devices. The role also involves constructing and fabricating control panels and wiring systems. Work is performed in commercial/industrial environments following industry codes. In this role, the apprentice helps build and maintain the facility’s electrical control systems. Work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and company safety policies, and includes testing equipment and keeping accurate records. • Install and terminate conduit, cable, equipment, panels, sensors, and control components. • Construct and fabricate control panels, rough and finish wiring for control systems. • Install interlocking wiring and perform wiring check‑outs. • Ensure installations comply with NEC, NESC, NFPA and UFC standards. • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control circuits for motors and devices. • Perform material take‑offs and propose plan modifications to improve efficiency. • Test installed, repaired, or modified equipment for proper performance. • Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance tasks. • Keep detailed maintenance reports and documentation up to date. • Monitor parts usage and report material issues. • Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules. • Follow Silent‑Aire safety program and Alberta OHS regulations.

What You Bring

Candidates must be registered as an Apprentice Electrician in Alberta and enrolled in a recognized trade school. They should be able to work under journeyperson supervision, as part of a team, and independently in a fast‑paced setting. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. The position requires lifting and carrying objects up to 50 lb, long periods of standing, and manual dexterity to use tools safely. The work environment presents natural hazards, so wearing protective equipment and adhering to the company safety program and Alberta OHS regulations is mandatory. Overtime may be required.
