About the Role
The Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leads a team of service technicians in installing and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role supports the Operations Maintenance Team by designing solutions for complex problems, managing projects, and training both in‑house and contract technicians. Key duties include promoting a safe work environment, maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems and control components, and managing work orders with detailed labor and parts data. The technician also leads preventative maintenance audits, mentors junior staff, and maintains positive communication across the Operations facility. • Promote safety by following all safety procedures. • Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and control components (relay logic, ladder diagrams, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids). • Create, assign, and close work orders, tracking labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. • Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures. • Mentor junior and contract technicians to develop their skills. • Maintain positive communication across the Operations facility. • Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures, travel 6–12 miles daily, and use a computer 1–2 hours per day.

What You Bring
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, four or more years of experience with material handling equipment, preventative maintenance, and blueprint reading, as well as experience with CMMS and PLC programming. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in mechanical or electrical fields and experience with robotic operation and maintenance. The position requires physical abilities such as reaching overhead, kneeling, squatting, climbing ladders, using an aerial lift, and lifting up to 50 lb, while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Work is performed in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, involves daily travel between departments, and includes regular computer usage for documentation. • High school diploma or equivalent; 4+ years experience with material handling equipment and preventative maintenance. • 4+ years experience reading blueprints and schematics; 3+ years with CMMS; 2+ years with PLC programming. • Team lead experience, vendor management, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. • Preferred: Associate degree in mechanical/electrical field; experience with robotic operation and maintenance. • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, work overhead, kneel, squat, climb ladders, and use an aerial lift while wearing required PPE.
